If you see a "**SE**" mark next to something, note that it is only possible to get to with the SE version of the game. You must buy the Special Edition of the game, were as you can find the RE (Regular Edition) on the net.... It is very simple..... the word on the right margin is the initial word. The word that is tabbed in is a secondary word. For example, if you wish to use the lamp, you can't type "lamp" but you can type "use" "lamp" . 1. A list of useful words: WARNING, DON'T USE CAPS IN THE GAME!!!!!! Part 1: use lamp matches match coat sword warp key crest move or go-NOTE: You don't need to type in move to move, you can just type "n", etc e n w s west east north south up - don't waste your time with up, down, etc. They just ask for n,s,e or w. down right left pickup or search -NOTE-some things are used (after being picked up) by just typing the word in. NOTE 2: search is sometimes required to pick something up, but pickup is not. map babe sword key coat light - just like "use matches," works the same way and all! lamp matches match poop -don't ask and I won't tell... try it.. it is funny. help -get some help for the game, really just a list of key words. about -about the game, author, etc. password - change your password swim - you have to swim to get the crest... look -so that if you want to see if anything has changed in the room (a.k.a. reactions to things you have done in a room to change it). items -a list of items you have.... Kinda like hitting pause in a game. q -to quit the game. quit- same as q. save-saves the game. load-load a game off the hard drive. options -allow you to change some things in the game, such as text speed, color, players name. your mom -again, don't ask.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 2: move or go-NOTE: You don't need to type in move to move, you can just type "n", etc e n w s west east north south up - don't waste your time with up, down, etc. They just ask for n,s,e or w. down right left use match matches drop bomb - you have to drop a bomb on each island. bombs help about -about the game, author, etc. password-change your password q -to quit the game. quit- same as q. save-saves the game. load-load a game off the hard drive. options -allow you to change some things in the game, such as text speed, color, players name. your mom -again don't ask.... Sticks and stone may break your bones, but some "bad words" may really hurt you! Don't use them in the game, they really aren't edifying, and they do hurt people, including yourself. 2. A small walk through (scroll down to avoid spoilers)..... IF You would rather have "less" hints, head to room 5 (in part one), which will help you out.... | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \_/ | TLJC Part one: NOTE: During this game, you should receive four visions of similar nature and may have your lamp go out occasionally. NOTE 2: You can beat this game many different ways, so try others. 12 step program off a cliff ..er.. to beat my game! 1. use matches 2. go to room 8 by going n, w (note that room 2 has a random direction that you go.. if you are not in room 43, you went the wrong way), w, n*7, e*5, s*3.... Hopefully you have leveled up 2 to 4 times cause you'll need it.... Pickup the map (pickup map). Fight the armor and go north one room (room 9). Swim and pickup the crest. Re-light the lamp. 3. Go to room 28. I know it is a long trip, but you'll need the exp. points later. Look after entering into room 28. Search the room and find the rest of the map (note: it must be search, NOT pickup). 4. Go to room 29. Notice the title of the picture? Good write it down or memorize it. 5. Head to room 4. It seems to be locked... Good thing you brought the crest. Use it (use crest). 6. Kill all three Double Js (DJs) (yes, 3 of 'em...). Talk to Dark Fry (DF), 9 of 7. You can kill him or spare his life but note this..... HE DOES AFFECT HOW THE GAME'S STORY PLAYS OUT. HE IS IMPORTANT EITHER WAY. I personally recommend not killing him (you can play a card game in room 22 if you don't kill him), but do what you like. Take the key. 7. Take a short trip out of the way to room 18. Note the name of the room. Now go to room 17 (if you need HP BADLY, go ahead and go to room 16 for 3 more HP or so). 8. At room 17, look at the map. Note the rooms in the MIDDLE, upper part of the map. Remember their numbers, specifically the smallest one. Now use the warp (use warp). 9. Now here is where the room name and title of a picture come in handy. Pickup the sword (pickup sword). The old man will stop you. Tell him the name of the room and picture (one at a time) and take your prize, the sword. 10. Travel to room 39. Opppsss, you can't seem to get passed that force field. Go back to room 17 and then head to room 21. Use the sword to open the "magic door." Go to hidden room 42 and consider collecting your prize.... Nope, guess you can't without DF's key that is (use key)... open the case and collect your prize. 11. Now go back to room 38. Use the coat to allow you to pass through the force field. Now go to room 39, use the warp and battle the boss DJ. 12. Enjoy the ending... for part one of the game. =) NOTE: Other important and/or interesting rooms are (NOTE: these rooms may "evolve" over time and through your actions): 3, 10, 5, 15, 27, 32, 20, 22. AFTER MEETING DF, GO TO ROOM 22 FOR AN AWESOME GAME OF CARDS (Black Jack)! TLJC Part 2: 13. Open TLJC Part 2 up, read the intro and select your plane. You should know that all planes have some good and some bad. Really it shouldn't matter which plane you choose since part two is FAIRLY easy compared to part one. 14. Follow movement pattern in figure A. Drop a bomb (drop bomb) on each sky area (except room 6, which automatically drops a bomb based upon answering a question you can't get wrong!). Figure A: (1->2->3) | \/ (4<-5<-6) | \/ (7->8->9) 15. In sky area nine you will be presented with a big mean boss. You just have to beat it and your home free... or you could surrender. Based upon your choices and whether you surrender or not, you will decide which of four endings you will get. OMEGA Cheats and secrets: Scroll down further if you are interested in CHEATING the heck out of this game... | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \_/ | Simply enter these cheats in while your in the "Now what do you wish to do?" unless otherwise specified. Part 1 only: * While battling the enemy Double J in TLJC Part 1, when you are ask to choose to either hit or use magic, type in "kill." The Double J is now dead. **SE** * When selecting magic (again, only in TLJC Part 1), press "3" for the magic "drive by." **SE** * If you replay the game you'll notice things are not in the same place as before. The whole game has changed! While this FAQ will not cover the changed level, most of the puzzles are still the same, if you can find the rooms they are located in, that is.... **SE** Part 2 only: * isuck 12 - In Part 2, you can beat the game without dropping bombs by typing in "isuck 12" You will get an ending which assumes that you didn't surrender. **SE** * When fighting airplanes, select the plane you wish to hit (if you are only fighting one plane, you don't have to select which plane to attack) and then type in "3" to use an A-bomb, and kill the plane. **SE** * If you beat the TLJC Part 2, 3 times you get a little note from the programmer! **SE** * To play a game of PuckMan (a spin-off of Pac-man(r)), simply beat TLJC Part 2 under 120 turns! **SE** Note that "easy mode" is included in Regular Edition. * You can also play PuckMan by simply typing by typing in "PuckMan" (note, this is one of the few times that you must type in the "P" and "M" in capitals!). **SE** * PuckMan has several hidden modes (when your in the easy, medium, hard menu), simply press 4 for super hard, 5 for super-ultra hard, 777 "I would close the game if I were you" and 4444 for "you may as give up" mode. **SE** * Save++ - While not a cheat per-say, if you beat the game in under 290 moves (which is really easy with this FAQ!), you get to save your game and replay the game with all your earned health, MP, etc. Note that this FAQ does not deal with the whole new adventure, as since you should be able to figure everything out the 2nd time without my help! Part 1 and 2: * isuck- room select, which room would you like to go to? **SE** * jeremy- yeah, the programmer's (aka Noob, who is also this FAQ's writter) name. * Eternal- NOTE, DO NOT USE THIS WITHOUT READING THE WHOLE THING!!!! When you type it in, it will fill up your whole hard drive with a big temp file (.tmp) in the same directory as TLJC file. Delete_ME.tmp should be the file name.... It is good for a joke, or to remove "evidence" in a hard drive. You would have to run the program 10-12 times, after deleting the "evidence." Every time you run the program, let it finish and then delete the .tmp file. This is in fact the way that those special delete programs work to TRY to prevent the government, co-workers, etc. from restoring your deleted file with other special program(s).
